Yoga

Led by Julie Sullivan, Director and Founder of Petit Papillon Yoga.

This class, geared towards children 2-5 years old along with a parent or caregiver, is designed with the needs of little bodies and minds as the guiding force.  The program includes age and developmentally appropriate poses and activities and is fun for both the children and adults!

Petit Papillon Yoga uses yoga  to help create healthy bodies, healthy minds and a healthy spirit. Their mission is to use yoga as a tool to help teach children to be resilient and compassionate human beings. They strive to help children of ALL abilities to tap into their own inner strength and celebrate their uniqueness! They believe that play is the most important work of childhood and encourage learning through having fun. Their classes are designed to foster self-confidence and to help keep creativity and imagination strong.

Julie Sullivan, Director and Founder of Petit Papillon Yoga, was recently

named one of the 2013 "40 Under 40" by the South Shore Stars. Julie has

studied extensively in the field of children's yoga and is trained through

ChildLight Yoga, Radiant Child Yoga, Itsy Bitsy Yoga and Next Generation

Yoga. She also completed her 200 hour Yoga Alliance certification

through B Yoga Center in Melrose under the direction of Krista Basis. Julie

founded Petit Papillon Yoga to create a unique, fun and nurturing place

where kids, families and even grownups can come to learn about yoga

and the many benefits it can bring! Julie has created a program that takes

the ancient practice of yoga asana (poses) and sutras (philosophy) and

makes it accessible for everyone, even the littlest yogis.  In addition to her

yoga teaching, Julie is an AFAA certified group exercise instructor and an

early childhood dance teacher.
