An Adventure Through History
The South Shore Children's Museum is where play and learning come together! The museum provides an opportunity for children to discover our nation’s rich past through hands-on experiences -- without ever having to leave the South Shore! Each exhibit teaches them about a different aspect of American history through exciting interactive play. From creating crafts to sharing stories, children will learn about America and have fun doing it!
The South Shore Children’s Museum has called the Hanover Mall home since 2013. Those have been fantastic years of growth for us. The Mall’s generosity has enabled us to grow from a 3,700 sq ft space to a 9,000 sq ft space and provide play for thousands of families in the past 6 years.
As the mall evolves and morphs into the Hanover Crossing, the museum will be relocating. The mall's construction timeline will begin in early 2020 and last till year end 2021. During this time the museum must find a new home. We are currently negotiating our new location and we hope to make an announcement at our Farewell Party on August 24. Please consider attending on this day. The details of the party are posted on Facebook.
If you have ever made memories with us and would like to continue to support us, please consider making a donation to our Moving Costs Fund. These are costs that adversely affect our operating monies and would take away from funds needed for programming and services. Please consider a gift to the South Shore Children's Museum fund.
As a small roots non-profit, we depend on giving from our friends and partners who support a resource for families with young children on the South Shore. We are the only children’s museum in our county and for about 27 communities. With your donation, we can ensure that we can keep our doors open to provide the much needed and severely lacking family centers that our communities desperately need.
Below are the tiers of giving:
$5, $10, $25 and $100 (John Adams sponsorship)
Thank you in advance for your generosity and support!
